Ah, grasshopper, you have much to learn about this brawling bar in Icemule, (just outside the west gate). Let sensei enlighten you as you regain consciousness.... How to Hit To punch someone, grasshopper, you use the punch or attack commands, never use ambush. however, as you will actually attack the person, not just slug them. If you stun someone they will either remain standing, fall over, or fall to their knees. If you make another hit that would have stunned the person while they are stunned they will collapse in a heap on the floor and be stunned for two minutes. This is what you call a KO, grasshopper. There are a few rules that most of the considerate people follow in the bar. For one, its exceptionally rude to continue pounding someone after they've collapsed and not let him or her up. The next lesson, grasshopper, is that unless it's unavoidable, (odd number of people), it is a good idea to split a large group into teams so one poor guy (usually me...) isn't getting pounded by the entire room...just half the room. Last, if someone isn't into getting their face bashed in and just came for drinks, leave them be. It's not like anyone who comes into the bar is here to fight. Remember, it is a bar; people come to get drunk, too. The rules on brawling are really pretty open and meant to be, but these are just a few of the things I practice and have noticed most of the brawlers doing. ...continued on Page II |
Stick Fighting; A New Art Form? by Chaldon Marquen While my friend Indosauros and I were walking around, we encountered a huge pile of sticks. We found out that these sticks were cast-offs; failed attempts by rangers to imbue them with spells. Thinking nothing of it, we each kept a cracked stick and later on, to our complete shock, we discovered something that we had not known before! It all started with us using just our fists as we playfully fought each other. Then we brought out our sticks and lo and behold, we could attack with them! These sticks were brawling weapons! Then Indo had the bright idea to try to edge them and it worked, and later we tried a bless and that worked too though we have yet to try the Elemental Blade spell on them. The sticks were about 5 pounds each and gave the normal 5 second swing time. Later we had a Lord who trained in brawling use them and his attack strength was so impressive we knew for sure that these were definite brawling weapons. Some were one handed and other were two handed; we could never figure out why that was. Is this the new weapon of choice for the brawlers in the lands? Who knows? All that this little dwarf knows is that he'll be spending a lot of time playing with those little sticks. |
